Coffee Honoring Obama!

Do you feel like your coffee is patriotic enough? Well, it is no secret that Barack Obama is from Hawaii, which also happens to be the only location in the US that produces coffee. That makes it a pretty special place, which is why Kona Joe Coffee worked to create a wonderful new blend that is a tribute to Barack Obama. The blend itself is called the Barack O Blend, and it actually uses Hawaiian, Kenyan, and Indonesian coffee beans to blend together for a completely unique flavor. I am sure that Obama feels entirely honored to have such a special brew named after him, as well as it being from his home state. The reason that Kenya, Indonesia, and Hawaii were chosen as the origin of the beans is because those are rich regions that contribute heavily to the delicious flavors that we know in coffee today.

Kona Joe Coffee has been around for more than 10 years, and their coffee plantation is actually located next to Mount Hualalai. The Barack O Blend in itself is only $12.95 for 7 ounces, and I am sure that it is going fast. The roast is comprised as the complete tribute to the 44th president of the United States, and the first black president in office. The whole point of the inspiration for the blend is that the countries contributing to the beans in the coffee were hand selected by Kona Joe Coffee because they trace the path that Obama himself led to where he is today in the White House. Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, and his father was actually from Kenya. He spent his childhood in Indonesia, so the three countries that already offer delicious coffee flavors are completely significant because they target specific points in his life. It is obvious that the United States was in a complete uproar in the victory of Obama being elected into office, so much so that it has filtered into all of our everyday lives, including being able to sip this Presidential Coffee in the morning before you start your day. It is totally humbling to think that your cup of Joe represents a serious part of our nation's history to tribute the journey that Obama took to the White House.

One similar idea that is on the heels of the Barack O blend is the Obama tea that was being marketed at $15.50 for 3 ounces, in honor of his inauguration. The tea itself was made of organic African Red Bush Rooibos that has undertones of Hawaiian fruit flavors without any bitterness. Because of my extreme bias toward all things coffee, I recommend that you go for the Barack O Blend for rich complex depth in flavor with full undertones that will give you a unique taste, as unique as the presidency of Obama himself. It is great to know that so many of our consumers are taking the time to contribute to the victory of our nation in Obama being elected as president. I'll drink to that!
