Coffee has been extensively researched lately to provide numerous evidence that it gives us more health benefits than we ever realized. This is fantastic news for the coffee lover, who not so long ago was told that coffee may potentially be bad for your health. Those studies were actually proved false when it was uncovered that the participants in the studies were also heavy smokers, which had a negative effect on the results. Coffee as it turns out is extremely beneficial to all areas of your wellness due to the fact that it provides powerful antioxidants. One more thing that you can add to the list is that it may be useful in fighting skin cancer, either by drinking it or even rubbing it on your skin.

The studies have shown that when caffeine was placed directly on skin that did have a potentially cancerous cells, it was counteracted by 72% in mice. The results show that coffee can fight non-melanoma skin cancer, and it also may be able to alter damage to the skin that has been done by the sun. One thing that has been known for quite some time is the fact that caffeine is a vasodilator so it can be used to constrict the skin and reduce redness. You can also use a home remedy of applying coffee grounds directly to areas on your body that have cellulite because the caffeine content will again vasodilate the skin and minimize their appearance. The prediction from these studies is that there will be new sunscreens on the market that may be using the caffeine in coffee to repair skin cells and fight skin cancer. The use of coffee for skin is to protect and then repair any damage that you may get from the sun.

As I mentioned earlier, there are certain skin care products that already have caffeine on the market for the purpose of firming and smoothing skin. These particular products do not currently fight skin cancer, but with the new studies found from the use of coffee on skin, that could quickly be changing. Another main benefit of drinking coffee for your appearance is the fact that it does contain many powerful antioxidants. When you begin to integrate more antioxidants into your diet, then they will counteract the effect of free radical damage on your cells and protect your appearance. Much of the damage that you see that causes the appearance of age to your skin comes from outside environmental stressors, like pollution and the sun. It is important for you to already be wearing a daily SPF to protect your cells from being damaged, but it is wonderful to know that the Java that you love to drink every single day can also be placed directly on the skin to suppress developing cancerous cells. This research is something that is wonderful news to the coffee community because it is always exciting to see the use of your favorite beverage in advanced technologies that will protect your overall health and wellness.

Coffee does have a lot of health benefits, and if you consume decaffeinated coffee, you reduce the caffeine risks related to drinking coffee.
