Technology is getting more and more advanced every day, and if you are a coffee lover, then you are going to be happy with some of the newest developments. Obviously, Starbucks is a very popular coffee chain, and if you have ever spent a morning in line at Starbucks struggling to find enough change to cover your cup of Joe, then you are going to appreciate this new iPhone app.
The iPhone has a variety of applications for almost any convenience that you can think of, and now they have teamed up with Starbucks for two new iPhone applications available through the App Store. These applications are myStarbucks and Starbucks Card Mobile. Both of these applications will allow customers to find the closest Starbucks and manage their coffee orders with their own Starbucks Card. If you do live in the Bay Area or Seattle, you can pay for any of your coffee purchases directly through the Starbucks Card Mobile app on your iPhone.
However, there are many other applications that already can show store locations, so it is about time that Starbucks got in the game. This is an official application that is free, and it will also allow you to keep track of the balance on your Starbucks Card. When you use the myStarbucks application, you can find the store nearest you by entering your location or using the built-in GPS in your iPhone. You can also search for local Starbucks stores based on specifications, like their hours, menu, or drive-thru availability. You can add a specific store to your Starbucks Favorites List, and you also are able to call the store directly through the application on your iPhone. You can even invite people within your iPhone address book to join you for a cappuccino at any time.
One of the best features of these applications is that you can create your own drinks, and you can save them to your iPhone. You can view the order on your iPhone, and you can also show it to a barista at Starbucks when you are ordering to make your selection clear. You can configure a hot or cold drink to your liking, and make your life easy because you can save it to your iPhone to remember what your preferred drink is whenever you order.
The only drawback to these Starbucks iPhone apps is that the payment tool through the iPhone is only available in select locations. Hopefully, Starbucks will continue to advance all of the capabilities of this app so that people everywhere can pay for their coffee drinks via their iPhone.
If you are a coffee lover, then you are certainly going to appreciate this handy app because it will give you the ability to remember the drink that you love to order at Starbucks and also manage the money you have on your Starbucks Card. As if the iPhone isn't already convenient enough, it now is providing you an advanced technology in coffee enjoyment on a daily basis!
